Attention all OGLs!

Hey OGLs, this is the super updated version of the info you needa disseminate to the TA1s (:

It will be in the totally informative OGL guide Glen has put together, but if you can call early yeahp

OGLs to call up TA1s before 12 January 2009

1) OGL to introduce himself/ herself first before welcoming the TA1 to the TA and TJC (be warm, cheerful and polite).

2) OGLs to tell TA1s to have breakfast before they arrive.

3) OGL to provide the following information to be disseminated to TA1s:

• Orientation will be from 12^th to 14^th Jan, with an additional Orientation Night

on the 16^th Jan.

• TA1s to wear TA polo tee on 12th Jan (NOT TJC uniform top)

(if TA1s ask why, it is because Mrs Koh does not want the uniform to be worn w/o the school badge – school badge will only be given out in Commencement Ceremony, after Orientation)

• To bring secondary school PE shirt/shorts for mass dance
• Bring $25 for O-Pack (inclusive of payment for the tie and school badge) and extra money for lunch
• Assemble at canteen at 8.15 am
• Tell them which OG they are in (Hazen, Incendia, Pyro or Viva)
• *If TA1s/ their parents ask,

Ø  The TA1 class list has not been finalized: students are not grouped according to their classes until the end of orientation.

Ø  Class list will only be made known to them towards the end of the orientation week.

Hi Station Masters!

Many of you may have the opinion that this 3 day Orientation preparation camp has nothing much to do with you. Think again! Here’s what you’re gonna do-

DAY 1

1) Principal Address*

She wants to talk to the entire cohort.

2) Games trial -Thousand leagues of Troy & I Survived a TJC Gameshow briefing(safety precautions, familiarizing route from station to station) (by Sean, Kaiwen, Shipei, station masters)

This is very important for SMs (:

3) Briefing on what it means to be an OGL SM (Jiayun, Glen Joelle)

We need to tell you stuff too!

4) Mass dance (E comm.)

C’mon, don’t tell me you don’t wanna d a n c e?

Haha okay we also need SMs to be present (:

5) O Night / Cheer Practicing

Everyone needs to know what’s happening on O Night.

As for cheer practice, we’re gonna guys up into OGs too to join in the cheers (:

DAY 2

*** SMs will be allowed to come alter for the day, at 1045. PLEASE don’t be late, if not our schedule will go awry. ***

1) Telematch! TA1 vs TA2 briefing (jiayun and glen)

Everyone’s gonna play this so you need to be briefed.

2) The Showdown trial (G comm.)

We need everyone in the cohort to try playing this.

3) Mass dance (for those who are still unfamiliar with the dances)

Self-explanitory.

DAY 3

1) Mass dance

Yes, dancing for everyone.

2) Decoration

Yangyang may need your help.

3) OG bonding time [try out icebreakers if possible]

Try out ice-breakers and stuff in various OGs.

Yeahp, that’s it! Lots of stuff for your to do too.

Please note that this Orientation preparation time for 3 days requires EVERYONE to be present.

We will be taking taking attendance.
